A couple of years ago we were gonna do it, but chickened out. This summer it seems more likely. I was told that the captain of any ship can marry you at sea. Don't know if I need a Washington marriage licence, an Alaskan one, a Minnesota one (where we live) or none at all. Is it possible, and what would it cost? Surely someone has done this before, but Googling it has left me empty-handed. Anyone have any insights or experience with this? Thanks for any help.

I'd ask Alaska DOT. They're in charge of the Alaska Marine Hwy, and the ferries as a whole.
