Lets be realistic here. I work a full time job, try to get to the gym four times a week, spend a few hours a week investing, participate in volunteer activities, and do my own cleaning/cooking/laundry/take care of cat,etc...
I hardly have time to read a book or play a video game. I eat very healthy but unfortunately making my own bread/pasta/sauces is out of the question.

Sonya has Chili's improved at all or is the service still terrible? I like Taco Bell. The food doesn't liquefy inside me it binds me up, just as if I'd eaten a pound of plaster. Red Robin makes great burgers, but the serving staff is the most annoying of any restaurant I've ever been to. They hover over you while you eat & ask you how you like the food. I had to tell my server to go away so I could enjoy my meal. She brought over the manager & I told her to go away too.

Before the offspring escaped into the real world, bread baking was a ritual in my home. I use a double rise recipe, so it took quite a bit of time. Fireweed honey and scalded milk are a couple of the ingredients. We would always have a warm piece of bread with red wine or hot chocolate at the end of the day.
yup I do make my own bread!!! Don't use eggs or milk of any kind in it!!! If you gotta recipe for double rise whole (med ground whole wheat) wheat, no milk or eggs I would love to have you share it!! Can't eat while breads at all..
where did you train as a chef??? CIA??

Chepos is about the best Mexican food I've had here in Wasilly.

There really is way too many chain food places around here. We need mom 'n pop cooking instead of all this fast food crap. I do like it once in a while, but damn, it seems like that's all there is.

Trout's Place/The Windbreak is darn good too.

The Windbreak is super
Chili's wait staff is still .....i dunno....struggling maybe?
I agree, I enjoy the mom-n-pop stops with character the most.
But then, sometimes you just gotta throw down something risky, be it fast food or whatever
