If you want fine dining, go to the Seven Glaciers in Girdwood. Wasilla is a small town with fewer than 10,000 people. Anyone that expects to find fine dining in a small town is obviously a few beers short of a six-pack. You don't go to small towns for fine dining, you go to major metropolises because that is where the best paid chefs are located

I'll take Good Food over "Fine Food" any day. Some of the best food I've ever had has been in small towns or villages with less then 1000 people living there.

If fine dining means the works: attire, furnishings and service, yeah, I'll agree.
If it means best food- no, often not. Best food joints- steaks, burgers, ribs etc, etc, are small places out in the bunnies that people flock to for the food.

Fine Dining = Several courses (four minimum) of small portions of gourmet food with impeccable service. As in the Seven Glacier's Pre Fixe menu. Your attire is entirely up to you.

Appetizer's, an entree, and desert does not qualify as "fine dining."

I had to tell my server to go away so I could enjoy my meal. She brought over the manager & I told her to go away too.
Oh my gosh! I soooo totally agree with you! rofl Its why I tend to avoid them if I can.
I have been to Chili's a lot more recently and it was pretty good. I got a good waiter who really just took care of us without hovering. The food was decent too. I had the Lunch special on the back...Chicken Enchilada soup with a salad and chips. I agree though, they were pretty bad for a little bit.

There really is way too many chain food places around here. We need mom 'n pop cooking instead of all this fast food crap. I do like it once in a while, but damn, it seems like that's all there is.

Trout's Place/The Windbreak is darn good too.
I haven't been back to Chepo's since they tried to have that bar right next door and put a doorway through. The attitude changed in there but yes, the food is awesome. I also most recently have fallen in love with Jalapeno's food, pretty good stuff. But I tend to eat at La Fiesta in Wasilla a bit more still.
Trouts is great...always!
