Default Taco Bell in Wasilla...anyone know whats going on?

Just a few days ago, they were serving taco's...And now they are gone!!! Anyone have any idea of what is going on? Are they disappearing for good? Or are they coming back better than ever? I had heard rumors that Red Robin is supposed to come in near the bank in the Target parking lot...Why would they tear down taco bell for that??? I am wayyy curious!!

Thanks in advance,
Sonya~

Well I e-mailed city planning and this was their response:

Our understanding is that it is corporate policy for Taco Bell to build new stores every 20 years. Based on what we have been told, they will build a new Taco Bell in essentially the same location. The work will begin as soon and the demolition is complete.

I stopped at Wells Fargo last Friday, noticed the construction, but didn't notice that Taco Bell was gone. Strange. Why would they tear down a Taco Bell to build another Taco Bell? If I didn't know any better I would think it was some sort of government project. That is the kind of wasteful spending for which the government is notorious.

I'm with Jonotastic, I'll take a Red Robin over Taco Bell any day. Red Robin may not be fast food, but their food is good quality and fresh.

Why would you eat Taco Bell? If you want diahrea just eat a whole bunch of prunes and cabbage, at least that way you will get some nutrition out of it.

Well, I wouldn't mind having them both. (greedy lol) I actually don't go to Taco Bell very often...3 maybe 4 times a year at most. But those few times, I do love it...Actually, I would very much love to have a Red Robin show up too. Wasilla is a restaurant loving town. lol The more the merrier...right?

I haven't been to Whitesilla for a while. Is there anything even remotely close to fine dining there, or is it just those dreary chains?

Fast food and processed food make me feel sick immediately after eating them followed by diarhea the next day. It literally liquifies the contents of my stomach. I wont even eat chinese food anymore. The only foods I eat when I go out are whole foods where I am reasonably sure of knowing the contents of the dish. Foods like a steak, fish, hamburger (not fast food), salads, and some other items are okay. Even pizza is starting to take its toll on me. Once you eat healthy for a few months your body will punish you when you eat something bad. Its only then that it becomes obvious that what you were eating is junk.
