What a tedious annoyance (Metlakatla: shop, food, dental)

I'm sitting here in a coffee shop drinking some earl grey and downloading bob marley, and some old hag just walked by my table and what the hell, the loudest screechingnest annoyance blasted right in my ear. It was her cell phone. WTF do these people persist in this type of dreary public behavior? If I were hungover it would have been even more awful.

ya just need to carry one of the boat air horn cans and blast 'em when the little annoying buggers go off!!! If they can noise pollute so can you!!! they might even get the hint!!!

That's a really good idea. Usually that sort of thing ain't a problem around here. I should have checked to see if she was wearing white tennis shoes--but something tells me she was.

I had a couple teenage brownies hang around here all last summer. Been watching to see if they're up yet. They can come feed my teddy bears for free!

Maybe I dont let the little things in life annoy me, but those dont bother me at all.

If you were hungover I would have felt no sympathy. Anyhow, what I usually do when people have their cell phones on in public is mess with them in whatever way possible.

If someone has a bluetooth or some type of handsfree headset I will start talking to them like they are talking to me. I will make direct eye contact and start responding to everything they say like they are talking to me. You want to talk about messing with someone on the phone, they have to try and decipher what two people are saying at the same time through different ears...most people cant do it. This has made for some very humorous and confusing public situations in the grocery store.

The other thing I enjoy doing if someone's cell phone plays music is start dancing and yell out something like "Oh hell yeah, my favorite" right infront of them. I'm talking hand clapping spinning around type of stuff. This usually makes a scene, and will probably make the person think twice about having a very stupid loud song start playing in public twice as their phone ring.
