The Cook Political Report has Sarah Palin down as a complete shoo-in for re-election: The Cook Political Report - Charts - 2009/2010 Governors Race Ratings (http://www.cookpolitical.com/charts/governors/raceratings.php - broken link) Either she's that good or all of her opponents are that bad--or both.

Cook Gubernatorial Reports are very unreliable. Local media does a much better job at looking at analyzing political races. Cook puts Pat Quinn, Democrat Illinois, as leaning Democratic and that is very incorrect. Locally a Republican is considered a shoo-in for the seat. Sarah Palin has high approval ratings and I think she'll get re-elected but some of those ratings are very incorrect.

She'll be re-elected unless there is another credible centrist or conservative candidate to split the vote. That's pretty much the only way a democrat can win right now in a statewide election. Unless you are running against a convicted felon, of course...who has since been unconvicted.

If Palin runs for governor one more time, she will win because she is still popular with the most independent Alaskans. And yes, putting politics aside, she has done a fair job as a governor. I have seen a lot of governors come and go for the past 30 years.
