Id like to move to Alaska, from Sweden ;)
Hi!
Today I started searing the net for Alaska since ive been thinking I would acctuallty like to move there for several reasons.
Id like to find i town that would suit me. Looking for a small town, im not much of a cityguy, With decent economy and jobs to offer. I want a friendly town with low crime. Id also like to be in the southern parts as these winters with -60°C dont seem to tempting, im not scared of cold weather though, just not the extreme kind.
Any ideas?

Sitka is another possibility, but I don't know about employment there.

I actually looked on a map and Göteborg where I live is just about the same Latitude location on our globe as Anchorage , Alaska. I know it's a big city by comparison to what you are looking for, but a good geographical reference point anyway if you know where Göteborg. I'm sure weather has it's similiarities, along with vegetative types. I'm sure you can find a good björk forest somewhere.
Me, I still miss the deserts of the southwest!!!

Got any Cheaper towns? From what ive read they all seem to be very expensive in every possible way and with prices like that i would have to save up cash for a long while before i can even considering moving.

Sweden is by far much warmer than Alaska, even though they are located at similar latitude.
