Default Kodiak has been shaking, and now Fairbanks

Several small earthquakes have hit Kodiak recently, and now Fairbanks is shaking as well. These aren't big earthquakes, just large enough to ask one's wife, "honey, did you feel the earth move?"
newsminer.com • Second quake in less than a week jolts Fairbanks

By the way, it has been cool for the last couple of days, specially at night. Right now the thermometers outside my house show 40 degrees F.

It's been snowing on and off here in Kuparuk for 3 or 4 days straight. We had a shimmer of earth movement week and a half ago the night before I came to work in Sterling. I like em!

Real problems are when there aren't any, the smaller ones bleed off the bigger one's energy in little bits here and there.

Although in '64 "After" the big one, the aftershocks went on for months and they were pretty sharp...

I've never experienced one. We get them here in Illinois but very light ones. Somehow I've never felt one. But a big one... when everything crashes and earth jumps... wow...
