The Canadian Truckers Hugh Rowland and Alex Debegorski came over to test out America's toughest ice road. They are acting like the Canadians are coming in and invading. Did you guys see Hugh and Alex forced to ride shot gun? Alex was pissed. I like Carlile Barbie adding a little drama.

So next time you get one of those, tell them that it's their lucky day and they just got aboard the exclusive "Ice Road Truckers Experience" tour. Turn off the A/C (yes, for those that didn't know it gets quite warm on the south side of the Brooks during summer), roll down the windows to let in all the dust and skeeters, crank up the CB (ch 19) to full volume, and during you tour narration be sure to use the "F-word" at least 3 times per sentence!

Note, if it happens to be winter, turn off the heat to simulate a cheapo company truck with no heat. Nothing like huddling in a cramped vehicle at 40 below in full Arctic Gear for 8 to 12 hrs while your feet slowly turn into blocks of ice!!!

These drama reality shows are getting kind of lame. I pretty much quit watching them. Especially when I work around the stuff and what they portray is 90% BS.

Actually, this is one good thing to come of this show...if I happen to hear her again on the CB I'm going to pull off the road and give her a wide berth! She definitely seems to have some kind of chip on her shouler and has got something to prove. To me at least, that type of attitude does not belong out on the Dalton. Heck, on the last show she was out messing around with her truck in the middle of the night and wasn't even wearing her "Hi-Vis" reflective vest. No thanks...there's an accident waiting to happen...I'm keeping my distance from her.

Another thing is all I've seen are line drivers, which never see an ice road nor an ice road speed limit. They haul from a point-A south, such as Anchorage or Fairbanks to point-B - Prudhoe hauling supplies or equipment, drop their trailer for someone else to haul up there on the "ice roads", and go back to point A. Just a little more drama...

I haven't seen any of the shows but you guys are wanting me to watch them now. I'm a summer van driver for the road (fairbanks to arctic circle or fairbanks to deadhorse and everything between) but I want to drive for the arctic research station this winter.

How true. I got to watch today 3 parts of "Out of the Wild" with these kids struggling to get to safety with a little map and "tough treks thru the most challenging terrain in the World". 3 or 5 mile hikes at a time with shots repeated many times over. Could hardly watch it to the end...
