Default jobs in alaska?

Looking for some info about popular labor jobs in alaska that pay well and may not have a 5 year waiting period.. LOL. I know... I knoww... the economy is bad so some may say that there are no jobs anywhere.. which may be true.. but what are some jobs that I may be able to look into and do some research on? Moving from NJ so any info will be greatly appreciated!!

Default Any motivated person can get a job:

Here's how:

Shovel snow
Plow snow
Do lawns
Look around for construction crews already working and offer to work for a day or week for free...to prove yourself. You are looking for private crews not government or union jobs.

And the opportunities go on and on.

But don't expect to easily get a job just because you "SAY" you can work, be willing to prove it.

Be willing to work for minimum wage while you keep your ears/eyes open for better opportunities. Be willing to work for room and board for that matter.
