Well 2 down and 8 to go. I emailed 10 charters and the first two said no we don't allow crabbing from our boat while fishing and 1 of them will not let our 7yr old go on the boat at all. This may end up harder than I thought. She doesn't want to fish and so I don't mind to pay 1/2 for her or less but to pay full price is a little crazy.

try to find "captain pete."

He has a few crab pots and hes quite popular around homer, everyone in town knows him.

We were down when the tide was really low.. I can't remember but I think it was around -5 or better. It was right after Memorial day and the crowds were gone. Had a great time! The lowest tide of the year is coming up here in a couple of weeks. I think it's around the 23rd of June.. using the clam gun about put's me in the hospital with back problems but it's worth it!

M80's are much easier on the back!!! snicker snicker!!! eat lots for me and drool butter all over your chin!!! we'll war over clam turf next year or we can be clamming buds and have one heck of a clam bake!!! owwww...clam chowda, clam cakes, fried clams, clams on the 1.2 shell....gosh it is endless!!!! can ya tell I grew up on the seashore!!???

dang cheap tourist won't spend the $$. picked them up themselves....just like clamming they could do it themselves for free!! Course times have changed and the $$ people pay people like me to do it for them now as they haven't a clue how to do the simplest of things!! snicker snicker... An don't any of you guys in AK tell them how to do things themselves....we need a job market!!!
