That's the old cannery--built in 1896 or so, and then it burned down and was built back a couple years later. It's one of the oldest salmon canneries in AK; I think Sitka had the first one. I wish I still had the pic of the 600 pound halibut my brother caught that I took when he was waiting in line with after a halibut opening here (commercial). But that was before the days of being able to store your photos on computers and it went the way of most paper photographs.

any chance ya still got the negative to the photo of your brother and 600lb halibut??? if so it can be turned into digital!
