This was taken at the end of Feb when it was -20 or so.. I just love it when it's so cold a pin drop sounds like a bomb going off..
We are hitting the trail with snow shoes this winter.. Should be able to get some really awesome pic's!

A couple of times when flying from Anchorage to Fairbanks, the Capt of the flight would deviate from the flight path and fly between McKinley and Foraker. Had to shake my head when I saw half of the passengers on the McKinley side maybe take a quick look and then go back to playing with their video games.

The website may say it is Denali on the license, but I can tell you without a doubt that it is not. It is most assuredly Pioneer Peak. I grew up with this exact view from our living room window...
