Hi, can anyone tell me what mountain is used for the background on Alaska DLs and IDs?

Thanks!

LOL

It thought looks like McKinley, but I wasn't sure and my AK ID is in a box somewhere, and most likely won't be found for some time.

I do believe that is Pioneer Peak just outside of Palmer. That's the same mountain on my website but from a different angle.

It's a very photogenic mountain but not that high. It rises straight up from sea level so it looks great.

I believe you are right. It does not look like Denali to me.

Funny, I never paid attention to the mountain on my license either.
Odd what little things we choose to not see...

It's McKinley per the DMV.
Digital Driver License (http://www.state.ak.us/dmv/akol/ddl_info.htm - broken link)

o.k. off topic but is the mountain McKinley or Denali, as an outsider this is
confusing.

Us Alaskans need to hang our heads in shame. It took someone 4000 miles away to answer the question.
