I am willing to make a pretty good guess that nobody will post that they got an interview or job offer from this site.. Just a guess though

If you're talking about the state of Alaska job center thing, I've already posted that I have. That was several years ago and they actually contacted me instead of the other way around--when you look at a job there, it gives the employer your contact info if you look at their's.

I still look at that site from time to time to see what's going on, and I can say for sure that the jobs they have listed for POW/Ketchikan are real jobs.

Maybe you aren't having any luck with them because of the economy these days.

On the news they reported a lot of people moving up here just to end up in homeless shelters, please make sure you don't end up doing that. You don't have enough work experience to get a job before relocation. Food is very expensive up here. It takes an incredible amount of time to start over, and landlords are very picky about who they will rent to in Anchorage.

I've hired a couple of people from that site, but they didn't last long. Both had exaggerated resumes and couldn't cut it.

Very interesting.. I have watched this site for over a year and there are a lot of the same positions on there today as there was last October.

That's because it's up to the employer to notify the state when the position is filled and unfortunately a lot of them don't do that, so the listings just stay there.

I'm sure that a lot of out of state applicants are never called back.
