I'm back!
Hey guys well im back from my trip in Alaska. Well as some of you remember i was suppose to be moving up to Dillingham with my dad, but my dad and step-mom got offered a job in Anchorage that they just cant turn down. So now i will be moving to Anchorage, Wasilla, or Pallmer area. I dont know when the move will take place, becauase i have to wait for my step-mom to get her nursing license for Alaska.
Now i have a question about the Anchorage, Wasilla, and Pallmer area, ive done research on the publics schools in those areas; and ive kinda have an idea of the good schools there, but i would like to know which of the publics schools are the best in those areas from personal experience.
Now about my trip up in Alaska. Alaska was the most beautiful state i have ever been to, we saw lots of wild life. (grizzly, moose, and lots more)We flew into Anchorage, stayed there for a night. Day 1: We made our way up to fairbanks. We camped one day on our way to fairbanks, Day 2: we made it to fairbanks refuled hit up walmart for more camping supplies, then went east of fairbanks about 25 miles to a new campground. After we set up camp we went fishing,(and had no luck)and gold panning (got some flakes). Day 3:We went up to the Chena hot springs, they were very nice and got to take my first shower in 3 days there. We drove back to our campsite after the chena hot springs and saw 3 mooses. Day 4: We just hung out at our camp grounds and enjoyed life. Day 5: We packed up camp and headed back south, we had made it to Anchorage and it took about 5 hours i think, that night we went and ate at humpys one of my favorite restauranuts in Anchorage. then we just got a hotel and chilled. Day 6: We went into Portage and took a boat up to see Portage glacier, and saw a big chunk fall off. Then we headed into Seward and did some shopping at"Once In A Blue Moose" (our favoite little store in Seward). Later that night we went 28 miles or so out of Seward and set up camp. Day 7: We went river hoping, with hardly any luck. I caught a 3 lb rainbow trout, and my dad got a 1 1/2 lb rainbow trout. We were going to go to the russian river where everyone said the salmon were running, but we also heard you couldnt park within 2 miles of it and you were shoulder to shoulder with everyone while fishing. Day 8: We hung out at camp, went on some nature hikes, looked for moose antlers, and got into trouble with the ranger : /. Then that night we went back into Seward and ate at some Italian restaurant right accross from once in a blue moose. Day 9: The last day : (, we went back to Anchorage got a little hotel. Later that day we did some house hunting, and checked out the schools.
So we left the day before the earth quake, we had lots of fun and cant wait to move there. Some side stuff that we did that i didnt say, was on the way to fairbanks we went to talkeetna and looked around and went down to the graves of those who have died on denali, then we drove though nenna and got a cheese burger. ( hope i spelt those right : /). If you have any questions just ask, and if you could answer my questions that would be greatly appreciated. Also i will post pics once i go to my step moms house which could be a 1-2 weeks because i will soon be on the road again.
