If you are going to Naknek there are several options. As Warpt said, Penair is one. But, there are others.
You can charter a plane from Anchorage...that will cost you about 10 times what Penair will cost.
You could go down to Homer and wait around until you find someone taking a boat across Cook Inlet to the portage into Illiamna Lake. that will take a month to a year or more before you find someone willing to give you a ride.
You could catch the Ferry from Homer to Sand Point. Then bum a ride on a seiner to False Pass. From there you might bum a ride on a gillnetter or tender to Naknek. Best done in the spring because by mid summer most of the boats are heading the other direction. Oh...and you have a very good chance of being stranded somewhere in route.
So...it comes back to Penair. You were given the answer...but you didn't want to believe. It doesn't make the answer any less true just because you didn't like it.
