So who has fireweed
I noticed a couple of plants blooming on the hill behind my place this morning and a couple more in front of the bank. I'm trying to remember if it's later or earlier here than it is farther north.

By the way I'm going to make some fireweed wine and see what happens when I run it through the still.

I have so much fireweed coming up...can't count or estimate...all over as with this rain..and other priorities...have not pulled in strategic places....lots of low-bush cranberries...and not sure what this other stuff is blooming all over the place...

I will see if I can find a good patch to show what fireweed looks like young, and in growing stage...right now certainly not blooming, but the lupines and wild roses are amazing,...throw in the yellow with the dandelions and beautiful natural color...but the fireweed won't bloom until end of July I think if we have nice summer to into August...when that happens is a blaze....

Heh! Is that a veiled allusion to the ol' Mary Jane? LOL
Sorry, the question brings back memories of the 70's, when you ran out and the question was, "Who has weed?" and the line that it was easier to get through bad times with a good jay.

I know, Granny. It was the way the question was phrased that struck my funny bone in a very strange way.
