Um, the price differances aren't that much anymore between the two cities, they are all high...

Use to be "Really high", but things got better and now they are just "high"...

Right, it used to be Fairbanks was noticeably higher, but now the big box stores have pretty much started to even out the prices. In fact, you can now find studies that are saying Anchorage is even becoming more expensive than Fairbanks. The main price differences are found in the smaller non-chain or Mom-n-Pop stores in the smaller/remote areas.
