I am hoping that someone might be able to tell me whether or not the prices for groceries are higher in Fairbanks than they are in the Anchorage area?

I also need to know what stores are located in Fairbanks. I have a blog where I share local grocery deals, tips and tricks and have had interest shown from a few people in Fairbanks, but it's been at least 5 years since the last time I visited there.

Any info you could give me would be most helpful!

Have you read the rules here? You can't be here to earn a buck, no spamming. You "charge" a fee to learn how to shop cheaper.

I am considering offering a real life class, but thats not an option right at the moment. My blog is all about saving money, why would charge someone to use it?!

[quote=My fees would be very modest, and you would more than make up any fees in your first week or two of couponing! [/QUOTE]

If you are going to quote from my blog you should probably quote the whole text:

"I would love to share my knowledge with other families who can benefit from saving hundreds of dollars per month on their groceries. If you can learn from my blog and don't feel that an actual class is necessary that's great. I would like to know if there is any interest in an actual hands on coupon class since everybody learns differently. My fees would be very modest, and you would more than make up any fees in your first week or two of couponing!"

Seems to be that you are just reading what you want to read. I spend over 30 hours a week sharing my knowledge with others for FREE! In 2 months of blogging I have made less than $30 from ads. I am a very active member in online coupon forums where I get no compensation for anything that I post.

Was I mistaken to think that people thinking about moving to Alaska or just arriving would be shocked at the grocery price and like to know that they don't have to pay that much???

I wish I would have had someone share this type of info with me when I first moved up here 11 years ago. It makes me cringe when I think about all the money I have thrown away over the years.

Ok, I thought I would post the answer to my own question, just in case someone else was wondering too. I thought about it for awhile and realized I could just change the zip code to a Fairbanks zip code and look at the ads online to see if the prices where different. They seem to be the same at least for Fred Meyer and Safeway. I can't guarantee that all the prices are the same but at the very least sale prices are. So there you have it, mystery solved.
