Oh my freaking gosh! Every question you have is answered on that web site. Rely on info that isn't from the State of Alaska and your gonna find yourself in deep kimchee.

Commercial Sea Urchin Fisheries Home: Division of Commerical Fisheries - Alaska Fish and Game

The green sea urchin fishery in Kodiak and areas westward is managed under the authority of a Commissionerís permit for miscellaneous species (5 AAC 38.062) that specifies harvest locations, season length, and guideline harvest levels. Boundary lines established for Tanner crab and sea cucumbers are used for green urchin management in the Kodiak area, with maximum GHLs of 10,000 and 5,000 lb depending on historical production.

Urchin harvests are limited to hand picking and use of an urchin rake.

For additional information regarding Alaska's commercial fisheries please contact cfinfo@fishgame.state.ak.us.

Nothing in this post says, "Find a job for me."

You asked about green urchins and what the requirements were. I gave them to you. If you want a job harvesting urchins then by all means look for one.

You are free to move about the country and do that all on your own.

PUHA - Pacific Urchin Harvesters Association

West Coast Green Sea Urchin Association
Michael Callow, President of West Coast Green Sea Urchin Association.
The green sea urchin fishery is in a total collapse with only 12% of the TAC harvested this year. It is questionable if there will be a fishery by next year. Problem is directly related to the Russian IUU fishery.

Good luck on the job mate.

Check out these addresses and phone numbers, write them, ask: http://www.puha.org/about.cfm
