They are the ones who got their undergarments in a twist when TC's CEO said nothing will happen unless Exxon is happy. They are the ones who ostensibly wrote AGIA for the purpose of excluding the major North Slope producers, Exxon in particular. Now Exxon joins the deal and suddenly Palin and gang try to fool us into thinking she had it planned that way all along. Gimme a break.

Like Met said, this will probably get shut down...This is NOT about Obama, socialism, CA, Arnold, this is about Palin abandoning her job she spouted was so important and how devoted she is..blah, blah, blah. To keep bringing up what is not the subject is maybe avoiding it. I am sure there are many in Alaska and elsewhere that are "upset" over this announcement..., also many in Alaska that probably feel betrayed by this official that elected to run for office in this state for the highest state position, and is now backing away (once again) from that elected position, duties of that position, dedication to that position for reasons she could not give with the "cameras rolling." She has been for the spotlight and the camera since her VP nomination, but could not give the people she is responsible for a true reason why she is stepping down.

It might be a better idea to vent on those feelings, rather than blaming every other thing in this country that one does not agree with. We all know she is only part of the problem in the big picture, but a big one in Alaska.

Why? This whole CD forum is about people exploring places they want to move to, and getting to know the state through those who live there. Why wouldn't we want to celebrate with you? I used to live in Hawaii and I still post there all the time. I lived in South Dakota and still post there. I love Alaska and Wyoming and post there. Why limit yourself? All the other state forums have people from all over the world on them. We are at an online party having a conversation.

If, as she said, she's bowing out because she isn't going to make herself a target for frivolous lawsuits...good for her. I love it when the eastern, limo liberals get the wind poofed out of their sails. Too funny.
It will remain to be seen what Sarah Palin does next, but I'm thinkin a big TV deal, so she can laugh all the way to the bank and STILL influence politics.
What do you think of Wally Hickel's opinion piece?

Are you aware that it isn't only "libs" in this state who would not agree with you that the soon to be former gov. is working hard for the benefit of Alaska?

Yeah I'd say it's time for you to move up; I'll give you a jar of moonshine as a welcome wagon type of thing.

Granny,

Palin is a vain, self-serving, deluded onager. You may say that most politicians are. But few attain the heights of hypocrisy she has, cloaking herself in a patina of morality and hiding behind the sanctity of the Bible. In other words, she is the lowest of the low - one who professes & preaches but never practices.

I wonder why she said that she was resigning now because she didn't want to be like other politicians and be a 'lame duck', milking the system or traveling overseas. It didn't sound like doing the job of governor until the end of her term was an option for her?

So many things cross over from one place to another and change how we are as individuals, and will eventually affect lives, either ours or someone elses in one way or another whereever we may be..and this is one for sure, so we share that knowledge...

She lost the race for VP. And all you libs can talk about is Palin. LOLs.

If she is as bad and stupid as you all think then why do you keep on talking about?

Are you all scared she might win? Kinda hard to call Republicans women haters if they nominate a waoman isn't it?

You libs amuse me in your hate and stupidity and double-standards.
Are you at all aware that several of the posters in this thread who do not share your appreciation for the governor and who also live in Alaska are anything but liberals?
