Default Ahhh, spring is finally here.

Now let the torture end...please. This is a frustrating time of year for me. Beautiful weather, frozen lakes... You can still ice fish in some of the lakes, but it can get a bit dangerous during breakup. So I have been spending my free time at the sportsman warehouse, lol..spending too much money. Too muddy for hiking and a bit too chilly for basic camping. Come on summer! This is the ultimate time of year for vacationing.

YUP..I hear you AK Adventurer...cabin fever abounds at the moment (though I'm probably a bit more well off weather wise than you here in SE).

Grrrr...I wish I was in Homer getting some fresh steamers. I have such a craving. It did hit 21 above this afternoon in Kuparuk. Sunshine and wind stopped dead. I believe spring is sneaking in here too.

Default Mmm, shrimp.

56 here today in Anchorage. Yay! Mmm, fresh shrimp. Only thing I like better would have to be fresh king crab. Well, halibut is right up there as well.

Did you see that halibut prices are reaching lobster prices in the lower 48?! Makes me feel guilty with a freezer full of salmon and halibut.... NOT!

Can't wait to put the boat out on the water! It is so sunny out, I have a tan already!
