Copies of this article were sent to me from London good 6 years ago, and ever since I wanted to duplicate this trip.
Omalik is the Eskimo word for "amber" a fossilized tree resin that pretty much can be found all over the World. It varies in age greatly, from say 16 milion years old for Dominican amber to well over 100 milion for Lebanon.
Collecting it is my hobby and I got to do it in person (with great success) in several States and Countries. These trips are fun and a great way to meet people and their cultures. And any samples found become part of a Museum collection... enjoy the read!
