When I bought my Kimber 6 years ago the retail was $1099, at that time I knew a guy that worked at a gun store that got me a real good price on it, $890 plus tax, so I was out the door for under a grand on this one.

The only 05 I have in my garage is the Harley, have had it 2 1/2 years and ride the hell out of it, going in the shop this weekend for a 45,000 mile service. Before the Harley I used to put about 15,000 a year on the truck, now I only put about 6000-7000 a year on it. The other day I used the truck to help my son move some stuff into his new apartment, when I opened the door there were cobwebs. I guess I need to take my truck out for a drive more often and get it cleaned. LOL!!!

You need to get yourself a pistol and have some fun target shooting with it. I love the challenge of handgun shooting.

In Alaska....YES, I would think that a .44 magnum would be the first thing you buy in Alaska. It's a whole lot easier to pack a .44 than a 30.06, of course I'd keep the 30.06 around for back up too.

I live in Memphis, Leto and let me tell you, Anchorage sounds like a wonderful world compared to some areas here in Memphis. But I'm not afraid. I can't live anywhere being afraid. I was raised in the country around fresh air, lakes, long hot summers, with cool moonlit nights with plenty of things to do. I believe its your atitude and how you feel about life that sometimes colors how you feel. Rance is right, get out of the city and do some things. Maybe a short trip to where you can get a little more sun light on your face. Don't give in to your feelings of despair. Fight it, Life if definitely what you make of it, Leto, Get up and get moving!

I've lived here all my life and have never owned a pistol! It's rare for me to actually carry a firearm even tho I spend days hiking and playing in the woods. My 30. is my sheep rifle. Bout the only time it ever comes out of the safe is during sheep season. I do carry a good knife tho. And up to this point have never had to pull it on a bear! 2 days ago a guy was charged by a brownie out near Skilak Lake. He shot and hit the bear. Both ran off in oposite directions. They were out lookng for it yesterday but I don't know if they found it. He walked up on it while it was on a moose kill and spooked it.
