Yeah they're around but it doesn't make it smart, practical, etc., to do so. There's mcmansions down here (cold but not quite as cold as Alaska), and it's a bad idea here, even worse where it's colder. Costs a fortune to heat them.

Heh...you are easy to please.

Reminds me of the guy I showed a house to years ago. We drove up to the house which had a detached garage. He said to his wife, "you take a look at the house I want to see the shop."

After we came out of the house he said, "I hope you like the house honey cause I'm buying the shop". He did buy the place...she like the house.
