I want to visit Alaska at the end of June. Does anyone know if there is a way to earn a simple living in this area? Or is this only an area for "summer tourism?"

Healy is a mining town; you'd probably be able to find some sort of work there depending on what you want to do. the best way to go about that is to go up for summer work and get to know people in the area; that usually leads to finding something for the winter.

Thanks! Missed the boat for this season. Maybe next spring I could work up at Denali. Look forward to learning more about all of Alaska and the great people who love her.

Let me know if you need any links to jobs in Denali--and it isn't too late for this year.

Thank Rainy, that would be great. I have snooped around Fairbanks, (newpaper, and military base) but I really am not looking for city life.
Raised on 136 acres 16 miles out of town, backed up to BLM......Still don't like too many neighbors. Woman of few needs....don't need entertained much either.... |
