The papers have the minority of available rentals and for sales these days. For private rentals it's all about craigslist. Same goes for FSBOs.

You can look at the Frontiersman for Wasilla/Palmer.

Give me a call and I will point you in the right direction. I don't do rentals but know who to call.

FWIW...

In Wasilla Palmer call:

Charlene Moss, Tracy Brewington, Dawn Houston. That's the majority of them right there...then look at craigslist.

I enjoy the vents from friends as well as their thrills. Go right ahead. Who knows, the vent might get solutions from folks in the know.

browncoatflan will become famous soon enoughbrowncoatflan will become famous soon enough
I've been picking up the local papers and ADN (yea.. there's SQUAT for classifieds in that thing) and checking Craigslist, checking individual realtor websites...

ARRRG. We JUST missed out on an acre w/ 2br cabin on Mirror Lake that has a float plane dock for 1200!!!!!

There's been quite a few other properties that we've looked at that have been similiar- on at least an acre with a good-sized house and parking and craft-area (for woodworking or something) AND a garden/greenhouse for less than 1500.. so I KNOW those spots DO exist.

Does anyone know if people get places over across the Knik (like Big Lake or along the Knik Goose Rd) that boat or fly across instead of driving around?

Have you checked the bulletin boards at grocery stores and malls. Sometimes people will leave a flyer for rentals there.
