The August 2009 Dept of Labor Trends is out with cost of living comparisons with different communities in the state as well as comparisons with lower 48 communities.

good luck living here without a trust fund, or supplemental income. it will suck your bank account dry in no time. its beautiful, but beware. you spend 1600 dollars on the ferry with your car to get here. then your here. funds run out, quick. sell your car then fly back on some other carrier than alaska air. alaska air has a monopoly on the entire govt. it seems
