If this thread doesn't become a sticky I am going to be absolutely stunned.

This is profound:

I haven’t seen Oriental flavored ramen here in the stores for awhile now, it seems to have been replaced with more and more spicy flavors, but I won’t complain.

My grandmother had a chowmein recipe that has been passed down. First, you boil Chinese style noodles to soften (not fully cooked), drain and then deep fry in oil until hard. You then re-hydrate the noodles with a broth mixture made of chicken broth, soy sauce and Saki or Mirin, until noodles are soft (you can leave a slight crunch in them if you want). Dump each batch in a baking pan. You then stir fry veggies (onions, celery, carrots, cabbage, etc.), until softened, throw in the cut up chicken (from the broth), and a couple of ladles of the broth mixture. Throw mixture on top of the noodles, cover with foil and bake.

I usually have mine with a egg in it. Put some velveeta cheese on top and let it melt, very good stuff. Or any cheese of your liking.

Beef flavored ramen (the 5 for a dollar kind), cook normally but crack and egg in it and add as much beef jerky as you like. Let sit for a few minutes and then enjoy.
Don't stir the egg...just let it cook in the hot water.

Also if it wasn't for Cup of Noodles or Maruchan I would probably starve to death at work.
