Default My recent trip to Alaska

Last month I had the pleasure of spending 10 days in Alaska. My uncle lives in Fairbanks and I managed trips to Quartz Lake, near Delta, a night in Chitina, where he and his friends went dipnetting while I fished the little lakes and ate a huge breakfast at the Hotel, I also made it up to Central for a few beers and a burger at the Steese Roadhouse, I tried to get all the way in to Circle but the fire crews turned me around. It was a great trip and I cannot wait to return.

I literally took 100s of pictures and haven't really gone through them but here are a few.

Nothing good, the family has moved up in the world and has that new fangled indoor plumbing, so, when the plumbing is working right, the outhouse isn't used(of course, the above ground septic was down, and the outhouse was a lifesaver.)

Thanks again, everyone. I had a great trip. I have to say, this most recent trip has really renewed my interest in moving back up there. I am looking at cabins/property, and, if everything works out, hope to buy a place by the end of the year, possibly moving up there next summer, but, it's all just talk, for now.
