Looking For Winter Positions (Anchorage, Craig: hotel, school, compensation)

I am looking for a quiet place to work on a book before I start grad school. Free time is more important than monetary compensation. I am currently looking into the U.S. Forrest Service, and the National Park Service. If anyone has any other suggestions or contacts that would enlighten me to other options as well, I would greatly appreciate it.
