What is it like to live in Alaska?
I am about to graduate from college and have looked into jobs with the Bureau of Land Management. My question is, what is it like to live in Alaska?
Weather doesn't bother my husband or I.
I am going to graduate with a B.S. in Wildlife and Conservation Management. My husband is extensively experienced in carpentry, mechanics, electric, plumbing, and has his CDL (class B drivers license). He is also interested in oil field work.

I should have said I need to know things like taxes, property prices, etc. I have never bought a house, always rented. I don't know much more about taxes then about my W2 at the end of the year.
Otherwise, it sounds heavenly. lol

Its a lifestyle........a mindset........the end to a long journey.
I think God made the earth and realized something was missing, so He scooped up all the shavings off the drawing board and gave us pieces of everything up here all gathered in one spot........for those brave enough to venture up to see......

No state income tax. Local sales tax in some areas. Property varies across the state depending on the locality. Some places have no sales or property tax. Housing cost varies with location too. You can probably get something anywhere from $125K on up to $1+ million. If you have an idea of the areas you might get a job, more specific information can be given.
