nunusguy is on a distinguished road
What we got is a bear feeding on a moose, not a bear killing a moose.
I dunno, but maybe that was a staged event ?
I'd imagine things get real lonely & boring up that way, and some folks got lots of time on their hands and
some might crave some attention after awhile ?

WTF are you talking about? It was not staged. And if you look at the 3 u-tube links I posted in "the bears" thread you will see the moose is still alive and kicking in the one video.
Yes the bear killed the moose, then ripped out it's heart and ate it, then ripped out it's liver and ate it. Look at the videos in the bears thread. Then remove foot from mouth.

Rance, some folks just don't wanna believe that there is still nature around folks in Alaska. Jealousy, maybe. They caught a coyote in the Loop in Chicago, maybe that was staged too. Heck, for all they know, those folks staked out the moose. Sheesh.

There's moose and bears in Anchorage, too. I guess they think Disney placed them here for the tourists' entertainment. I guess those bears are getting fat on grass just like cattle. Lions lay down with lambs too. Disney showed that in a nice animation, and God knows, that must be true. Disney says so.

Default bears in ABQ, believe it or not

Just yesterday the game and fish guys here in ABQ had to dart a bear right in town. A small (150lb) black bear somehow ended up banging the glass doors to a medical clinic on the west side of town. He got lucky and pushed the button to open the door, let himself inside much to the dismay of the staff. After they high-tailed it out of there, the G&F guys ended up darting him in the bathroom (no word as to whether he chose the mens or the ladies room). Its not unheard of to see a bear or two in town come spring, but virtually never on the west side. The east side of ABQ abuts the Sandia mountains so they're much more commonly found there. In any case the little blackie found himself hauled off to a new home later the same day. In the category of "sometimes truth IS stranger than fiction", out of all the places in Rio Rancho he could have ended up, why a gastroenterology clinic? Who knows, maybe it was in the preferred provider network for his HMO.

Another moment provided by Disney, no doubt. People won't believe that bears kill (Thank you, Grizzly Adams), or that moose provide meat for ALL predators. These are the same folks who'll believe that beef is provided by the butcher, and the food chain ends at Safeway.

Your killin me Mal! Frickin hilarious...but true. Had a grizz sighting west of Kuparuk this AM, but I missed it. They should be all over here soon. And I saw 2 swans last night. Spring has finally come to the northern coast.
