Yes the bear killed the moose, then ripped out it's heart and ate it, then ripped out it's liver and ate it. Look at the videos in the bears thread. Then remove foot from mouth.

A mature bull moose would administer a severe ass-kicking to a grizz, and

It's nature. The moose looked young and we did have a pretty harsh winter down my way. But a brown bear is so damn powerful...when they are going for the kill, it's nothing like you see in pictures, calmly walking through the forest. They become a raging, shredding, killing machine. Totally focused and lightning fast on their feet. One swat to the head, with a front paw, can disable a moose instantly.
They do run a risk of getting stomped by moose. Moose hooves can be razor sharp and they are quite agile themselves.

There are some areas within Alaska...where the feds stopped all bear hunting, to save the bears, which resulted in no moose. Yeah...bears can and do kill moose. It's their way of life.

Ya know Danny, that's what we are here for, 'cause we learned a lot watchin the Discovery Channel and watchin that little guy tree-hugger from Boston, what's his name ? Oh yea, Irwin.
