it's been fall here for at least 6 weeks or so. and it's looking like it'll continue for at least a little while longer.
i like fall- the rabbits are turning white, but the ground hasn't yet. they sure are easy to find...

So, is the Mat-Su valley from Anchorage to Palmer area?? I did a search on GoogleEarth and that is what I came up with. Didn't realize the Mat-Su area was around Anchorage, thought it was more north west of Anchorage.

Here's a map of the Mat-Su Borough:

I believe it stretches from Trapper Creek, Talkeetna & down to somewhere around the Palmer Hay Flats. I think it is one of, if not the largest, school districts in the country.

How are they doing the schools there? Is there just a few large ones or are there a bunch of little ones?

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough extends from Cantwell in the north, Nelchina (near Lake Louise) in the east, Anchorage in the south, and the Alaska Range in the west. Covering over 4,000 square miles.
Anchorage is not only a city, but also a borough. The Anchorage borough includes Peters Creek, Eklutna, Chugiak, Birchwood, Eagle River, Anchorage, Girdwood, Portage, and Hope. The Anchorage borough covers 1,697 square miles, roughly the size of Rhode Island.
