Default katmai National Park...Can you drive to it from Anchorage?

I don't think you can, but my husband thinks you can.....All lets set him straight.

Katmai National Park is on the Southern edge of the West side of Cook Inlet and goes to some hundred plus miles West. Only accessible by plane or boat, suppose you could walk if you had a few months free time.

Needless to say, no you can't drive... You win.

I guess it will be ferry and hiking. Sounds so awesome? Wait can we ride our bikes, mountain biking would be cool. Anyone know the length of time to take a ferry and or cost?
