how to becoma a ak resident for school
My girlfriend and I are planning on moving up to alaska next year. I would like to go to tech school but am willing to wait until I become an alaskan resident for the in state prices. How long does it take to become a resident and how do you even go about it?

one other thing that might come in handy for school: when you have a noun that begins with a vowel, it should be preceded with "an" instead of "a."
brought to you by your friendly neighborhood english teacher...

Not really sure, but it is possible the tech schools that are not state run might not charge more for non-resident students

oh, that one can go either way. i personally do not like saying things like "an historical event" or anything like that- i'll only use it if the h is silent, such as in "an hour."
i like this guy's way of explaining it:

Much easier, if you're already in the Pacific NW, is to get in the "partnering Universities" programs, where AK and nearby US states let thier kids "swap universities" and still get in-state tuition. AK has this set up with ID & WA, and a few others, but not OR for some reason.
