Looking For Help in Our Move To Kodiak AK
Hello Alaska !
I am planning to move to the Island of Kodiak My better half is taking a position there and of course I have the option of coming along to have a wonderful time or work at a job.
I am fully ready for any opportunity. I have worked as a telecommunications technician for the past 28 years The guys I was educated by you know the big companies, AT&T Fiber, Verizon Wireless Cellular.
What does anyone know about these sort of jobs on Kodiak? Please let me know if you are aware of anything. Also I would like to know if someone. has any lodging 2bd 1 bath, for sale or rent. Anything will be real nice
Thanks folks Ray & Liz Sacramento Ca

hey now, i lived in the bay area before moving up...you'd be surprised how many people can very quickly and easily get away into the mountains on a regular basis down there. some folks in california spend a lot more time in the wilderness than most alaskans do- a small percentage of the population, really, but with such a large population in general, that's still quite a lot of people!

Trust me, Moose is correct in talking about culture shock; has nothing to do with the mountains but a totally different environment.

Good Advise is Worth it's Weight in TUNA and Crabshells
Thanks for your constant vigilance , I am certainly happy I found this board. Nice to have some life breathing people who are caring.
Have a great weekend
the Sacramento's LOL
FYI also the Chamber of Commerce site has unending information about cities as your targeted Move, and some strategy to boot as to get around for local shin-digs and crab-feeds
