In their test, one ate, if I recall correctly a couple of bagels (poppy seed) and the other ate a whole poppy seed cake. They both tested positive...
Not really that much for the tests to show positive, I would guess if you drank the container of Poppy Seeds, you would get twenty to life...

On bagels, aren't they only sprinkled on top, versus a cake that should be loaded like the muffins... I would say if they showed on a drug tox test from a couple bagels, there must be something to them...I must be immune to the effects because I love them....maybe that's where the eat more comes in....  or is that something else....

I haven't eaten a lemon/poppyseed muffin for quite some time, but from what I recall they were pretty dense.
