I'm with you Crystal. I'm the only person I've known who can sit on a FL beach & my feet are still cold. I predict that my future is me at a beach wearing a sweater over my bathing suit & complaining that 100% humidity is just not hot enough! I guess it's the Aussie desert for us... VV

I really can't tell the difference between 10 degrees and -10, unless the wind is blowing.

I am with you guys...I love it warm and balmy...I am in the Orlando area and have been wishing I could move further south...my dream would be to live in the Caribean with a house near the beach...never put on long pants or closed in shoes, or long sleeves, jackets or anything like that again...

Oh..Boy, am I in for a major shock. The water has to be 80 degrees and air temp 90 before I go in. Unless the jacuzzi is heated when it's below 90 I won't go in. I love a 102 degree jacuzzi on a 105 degree hot August night with a cold brew in hand.

I've jumped into the Arctic Ocean in October. Had to look for an ice free place to get at the water.

I don't think your outlook on heat would be the same when the night-time temperature drops down to 84 with high humidity, all while the power is out in your entire neighborhood on a night in august.

I've been through this, you see. This is why Alaska appeals to me.

The thing about cold is, you can always put more clothes on.

But with heat, you could stand there butt-naked when its 100 degrees and it will still be hot

..not to mention the bad sunburn.

During the hurricanes when we had no power, I would sleep curled around a frozen water bottle or two, I would take a cold bath, as cold as it would come out of the shower head...thanks I'll take my chances and stay in the WARM...

55 or colder is too cold for me. my ideal temp; 82 degrees! 100 and up would be too hot for me.

Nothing beats the heat from a good woodstove with a pot of boiling water on top!

-40 is pretty bad. I did some work outside and had to wear safety glasses. I could feel my eyeballs freezing and I ripped the skin off the sides of my nose when I took the glasses off. My skin was frozen to the nose piece!

You can take a cup of boiling water outside and throw it up in the air and it sort of explodes. Then the water comes down as ice crystals.

-60 is a little worse. I'd heard about the pee freezing thing and I tried to talk someone into trying it. But no one wanted to get their junk out because it was too cold.

If you have wind too, forget it. Go outside long enough to get some wood and just stay inside. Break out a bottle of whatever and snuggle up!
