Seriously for anyone wanting to visit Alaska, this place is beautiful; very rustic, excellent food, a bit pricey but well worth it. We went there back in 2001 and I loved it; want to go again one day. We got married and had our honeymoon there.

A drive across the Denali Highway from Cantwell to Paxson is a must! It should be open around the time you come up. I've driven it twice now. If you look in the photo thread you'll find my pictures in there of the road.

Oh, I forgot about that! Stay on the main road, if you like hiking there are numerous places in Valdez to hike. It's a nice drive down there.

LOL..don't take it personal...it happens alot.
Just remember to make your reservations "ahead" of time - I would not wait till the last minute to reserve lodging, etc. Coming in late May to mid June you should have some nice weather. Keep us posted.
