WANTED: Used-Car Dealer Recommendation (Fairbanks)
Well, I'm here... and it's wonderful. Now I need to buy a vehicle -- either AWD or 4x4. I've been looking on Craigslist and the DNM classifieds (why don't people attach photos?)
Can anyone recommend a used-car dealer (or two), here in Fairbanks?
Alternatively, if anyone's got (or knows of) a late-1990s Subaru AWD that's for-sale, please let me know.
I love the cold! I was outside on Saturday afternoon for about half-an-hour, and a short-sleeved T-shirt, long-sleeved T-shirt, and hoodie kept me comfortably warm. Life's good!

Go to South Cushman, there is a bunch of dealers there, none really stick out as better than others, but you should be able to find what you want.
Cold? We haven't had cold here yet... Been a really nice fall to mild winter weather. When we start hitting -50 and such, then let us know if you still like the cold...

I was an infantryman (11C) stationed at Ft. Richardson, between 1/72-1/74 (Co E, 1st Bn, 60th Inf, 172nd Arctic Light-Infantry Bde), and participated in two Ice Cap exercises (that's the polar ice cap); so, yeah, I know what cold is... it reached -100*F during those FTXes... it was so cold, I lit a match and the flame froze!
Of course, I was a younger man back then; now, I'm older and smarter.

Well getting older does make the colder stuff a bit different...
You can also listen to KFAR 660 AM at noon and there is people that are selling cars there, also you can call in and tell them what you want on the air and others will call you with what they have for sale. They also have a web site that you can post what you want or see what others have listed there for sale.

Try Affordable Used Cars on South Cushman. They have always treated me fairly.
