It's downtown, on 3rd street near C - just west of C I believe, you will see it. You can park in the lot across the street (behind the Alaska Experience Theatre) for a dollar/hour. Admission is free and most of the merchandise is decently priced - not a tourist trap. There are several lanes of booths, and the back one offers mostly food and drink. There was entertainment while we were there- street singers, musicians -some pretty good. It's a pleasant afternoon's entertainment.

In Anchorage, the only place to get my shirt is at the "Downtown Market" (aka Saturday Market)
every weekend (Sat & Sun!) all Summer through Sept. 5th.
You can email me at this address; embloomdesigns@yahoo.com.
Thanks for asking!

We moved to Texas last summer. I think the phrase doesn't **** them (or us) off because they don't care. I mean, it's ALASKA. Yes, parts of it are breathtakingly beautiful and it's much larger than Texas, but the government has to pay people to live there.

We should take a map of Alaska and put it inside a map of NUNAVUT. How many of you have even heard of Nunavut?
Alaska, 586,400 sq miles. Nunavut, 870,424 sq. miles.
The population of Nunavut is around 30,000 people.

Texas is soon to become part of Mexico. Hope you enjoy it. Wouldn't even live there is the government paid me.

I've heard of Nunavut. But what does that have to do with anything since it's not part of the United States of America. Isn't it part of Canada, that's part of England, that still bows down to the Queen?

Texans are, generally, proud of the many ethnic influences we have in our state. It makes life more interesting. Sure there are racist asshats who will agree with you, but most of us are not resentful of our southern neighbors.

Depends where in Texas. Dallas area, nope. West Texas... Heck No! East Texas, NO thanks, not a fan of Houston. There is only one spot in Texas worth living... HILL COUNTRY.

While living there and being originally from Alaska Texans and I would frequently give each other a hard time. I'll never forget once talking to a Texan who told me that Texas was the 'biggest state in the Union." Of course I corrected him and told him he could stick the entire state of Texas inside of it and that if Alaska was cu in half, Texas would be the third largest state. He continues to argue with me and I could not believe how ignorant this fool was. Than the explanation which made sense.... well to the Texan anyhow..... 'I said largest state in the Union. Alaska is not part of the Union since Alaska is not connected to the rest of the states.' I laughed at him and couldn't believe he was taking this road. Come to find out, that is what the Social Studies teachers in Texas teach their kids.

Not in my school or any I've ever heard of (though I don't doubt there are some dumb teachers there, like everywhere). The guy you were talking to probably just didn't understand the word 'contiguous' and used the word union instead.
