There's got to be girls closer than that.

Of course I am just joking but I find the price of tickets to Fairbanks very frustrating, I just want to visit my grandkids! Before they grow out of diapers and go to college.

I hear you, I am sorry for that. I am surprised there is no grayhound like service in Alaska

There is a bus called Alaska Direct or something like that but it is almost as expensive as flying!

don't bother buying the book "Shambhala"... fair story but no true insights for daily living that will make a difference in your life!

lyoness, it's never too late to start a new career. Since you're looking at time while you save money, go back to school for a career that is wide open. You can become a Registered Nurse in two years and write a ticket for anywhere you want to work. There's a big nursing shortage right now that is projected to get worse. I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner and have been traveling to different parts of the country and working there for over three years now. I spent 8 months on Admiralty Island last year and loved it. I plan on going back to AK to work later this year. Think about it!
