Default One thing for sure...

One thing for sure...they sure could use a good bakery/cafe/diner in Eagle River. The closest they come is an ancient greasy spoon, one fancy restaurant, a couple of coffee shops, and a bunch of fast food. There's tons of money in that suburb and it all drives into Anchorage for lunch.

Gee Tiff', U are going to miss those great golden Rainier cherries which should be in season about this time of year. The others are right. It took me 4 trips before I've decided to transplant this coming summer. Bring some of those cherries up so U can share w/all of them.

Well...there is great downhill and cross country skiing nearby. Snowmachining and ice fishing also. There will be school activities and various other things for teens to do.

You and I are in the same boat. I am also looking for information about Alaska, but specifically, how difficult is it to get thru Canadian customs.

My mom is reading this with me and she says that Seward is a beautiful place. She lived in Alaska when she was younger. So I have a little bit of insider info. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will relay it to my mom.
