Eagle River Recreation (Anchorage: price, gyms, moving to)

Hey guys,

I'm looking at moving to Eagle River. I was looking around the internet and it doesn't seem like Eagle River has a recreation center outside of an outstanding ice rink. Can anyone tell me if there are any plans to put in a recreation center? Are there any good workout gyms in Eagle River? Specifically ones with racquetball courts? I see that there is an Alaska Club (with racquetball courts) in Eagle River, but it seems that these are overpriced from what I can tell on other threads. Is there anywhere else to play racquetball in Eagle River?

Also, I assume that all recreation activities are run through Anchorage since Eagle River is technically a part of Anchorage. It seems that the city-wide softball program is run through a couple of local sports associations. I assume that I would have to go through them to join a team?

Finally, does anyone know anything about the Anchorage Adult Baseball League? I love playing baseball. I've played in a non-competitive adult league the past couple of years. I'm not a great player by any means, but I love the sport. How competitive is the Anchorage league? Do they have different divisions for different skill levels or ages? The Anchorage baseball website hasn't been updated in a few years so it's hard to get accurate information.
