Hi everyone!

Im currently seeking summer employment in Skagway/other tourist traps in Alaska and having a hard time getting much information. For one, I have had very few people get back to me and I am wondering if its just too early, or too late and the gigs are all snatched up. Im willing to work outdoors or wait tables..whatever really. Im just looking to make a nice lil chunk of change to keep traveling on after the season is through.
Im looking for a place where i can work hard all summer and walk with at least 6-7 grand. Am i barking up the wrong tree?

I read some of the threads on here about skagway, but any additional wisdom you can bestow would be greatly appreciated!

I just checked ALEXsys and they don't show any job listings in Skagway at the present.

Your might try Princess.

Did you just pluralize gigs with an apostrophe?

Now that you mention it, since I've been on the forum and other internet comment sites, this is a common error. I have noticed a lot of the usual suspects: their, there and they're, too and to, your and you're but also-oddly-loose and lose. Hmmm, perhaps I should have stayed in journalism or writing but I somehow ended up crunching numbers.

Well, to the topic at hand, Alaska probably needs its seasonal workers, as bad as it sounds.

Some come and stay and stay longer cause they can't afford to leave(sourdoughs) others come, take the money and leave(cut&runners) even these jobs are gonna see more competition as the economy stagnates.
