ya know, its kinda sad. I liked her before she ran for VP as did a majority of the state. She had an amazingly high approval rating. But once she got a taste of the national spotlight either she turned retarded and everything I loathed or I and the majority of Alaskans didn't see it before until REAL media got their hooks in. I can;t stand her now and absolutely hate that one of the first things people think about when the hear 'Alaska' is Plain. :BARF

Her so called high approval rating had a couple of different factors at play...one was that the poll in question had four options---poor, fair, good, and excellent, and anything but a "poor" was counted as a favorable rating. The poll was taken right after she entered office; and even people who weren't very impressed with her gave her a "fair" rating. And people were very fed up with Murkowski at the time and were glad to have anyone but him in office.

I think her Achilles (sp?) heel is her overwhelming competitive/ambitious streak. She is like a torpedo, once she was launched, nothing could stop her. She became like a machine, no ethics, no regard for others or her country or her family. In a way she is becoming a sort of tragic/comedic figure of history. I wonder if she will ever have that moment of seeing for herself that in grasping for everything she imagines as the brass ring, that she ended up with nothing of real value?
