Hi Folks:
Back again. Got a couple of other questions---being retired military, over 65, I can (presumably) use Medicare/Tricare. HOWEVER, There was an article in the Anchorage Daily News this past April (2008) saying that there were no Primary Care Providers taking on NEW Medicare patients in Alaska. Has the situation changed? Additionally, I will be only eligible for the VA Hospital as a Category VIII (after dogs and cats.) Is the VA taking any of the lower category vets? Thanks for any current insights!

The VA is opening a rural out reach clinic in Juneau in Oct of this year.
